Rituals Planned for Healing-the-Spirit 2006

Creating Our Sacred Space Opening Ritual

Everything has a beginning.  Our journey starts here.  After our first meal together it’s time to get to know each other and lay the foundation for the work we will be doing this weekend.  Together we will create Sacred Space and build a Psychic Safety Net for the rest of the weekend.  Through a series of interactive exercises folks will have a chance to meet new friends and share their expectation, challenges and fears about the weekend ahead.  Together we will shed the masks and shells which we brought with us from the outside world and turn our focus inward to the light of Spirit within each person present.

Healing Through Community Friday night Ritual

Healing is a process of willingly entering into the chaos of the unknown and allowing Spirit to guide us into the state of being that is best for us at that moment.  We each flow with the potential to heal every moment of our lives.  This force gives our bodies and spirits their amazing ability to heal after trauma and injury.  This gift flows from our connection to and trust in Spirit/Source.  Alone this journey can seem frightening and dangerous.  Together, we can support each other in our healing journeys and find new strength to face the challenges before us.

This evening, join with our intentional community as we deepen our connection to Spirit and allow healing to flow through us and between us.  We each hold the keys to our own healing.  We also hold healing for every one we meet.  Opening to Spirit, we find the courage to share what we have inside with those around us and to receive the gifts of healing that others bring to us. 

Inspire-Fire Friday night Fire Circle

Music, Song and Story are the voice of Spirit moving through us.

Friday’s fire circle is reserved specifically to honor the power of creativity within us. At the glow of the fire, share your favorite song, bring a chant to teach, dance or tell stories. In short, this is a chance to play as Spirit calls you to. All forms of creativity are welcome here. You can also take part in this circle by bringing the gift of appreciation.

The Muses love an audience, for without someone to appreciate their inspiration their gifts grow cold. Come and share the gifts that Spirit has given you, to perform and to appreciate. All are welcome within the circle of the Sacred Fire that its flame may kindle creation within each of us.

Not Required but Suggested : be willing and ready to offer a song, chant, story, recitation, dance, or anything you feel moved to share as an offering to the Circle.

The Wild Hunt Saturday afternoon Ritual

Play is an important element in ritual.  Join us for a Magikal game of tag.  This is not quite the game we played as children, but not that different either.  Gathering together, we will deepen our connection to Spirit and choose our parts in the game.  Some will be hunters – those who are searching for something in their waking life, while other will be prey – those who are ready to be release something in their waking life.  At the signal of the Horned God, the prey will hide.  At the signal of the Master of the Hunt, the hunters will seek and find.

With their caught prey, the hunters return in triumph to the altar of the Gods where the prey are allowed to release their burden through sacrifice and then be reborn free of them.

As with any Path to Spirit, you must choose. Are you Prey? What do you need to give up? Are you ready to make this sacrifice? Are you Hunter? What do you need to find? Are you ready to reach out and claim it?

Allow your Magikal Child to come out and play.  The results will be amazing.

Requirements: please wear shoes and clothing which can get dirty or damaged without personal loss and is appropriate to the activity of running around camp.

Alchemical Fire Saturday night through Sunday dawn

Saturday's All Night Fire Circle is a conscious collaboration - no dichotomy between "staff" and "attendees". We all come together in voice, rhythm, movement, energy and intent to kindle, spark, stir and stoke the Fire. The Fire shapes us and shakes us from within and without. It fuels us and we fuel it. The spontaneous connections that happen around the Fire help us get tuned in, juiced up, and that much closer to Spirit. Together we bring to life the Mystery of mutually supported personal transformation - the Alchemical Fire.

Encouraged: We believe that even the most experienced improv artists, healers and Alchemists benefit from a repertoire of what they can do to help focus them and prepare them to jump into the world of pure Improvisation of Spirit. So we encourage all to attend at least one of the Alchemical Fire Circle Pre-Heat sessions, and preferably both. During these sessions we will share pieces of our repertoires with each other and build an experience of community so we can feel connected/supported with/by each other by the time we start our Magickal working Saturday.
