In 2005 we gathered near Samhain to celebrate the Turning of the Wheel of the Year. The old year and its tasks had come to a close and a new year of adventures awaited. Woven around this magickal intent, 2005's event featured three primary rituals designed to get participants moving, thinking and feeling. Here is how they were described:

The Magickal Hunt – Our main community ritual includes a magickal form of hide and seek. In this case, the hiders are deer, the seekers are hounds. Summon up the Spirit Animal inside of yourself and run through the woods with us. Will you be Hunter, or Prey...?

Trance Dance – give in to your animal/primal self, stomp your feet, shake your body and be moved by the spirit. Whether you spin, undulate, shake or roll, come dance with the drum beat and discover yourself. Costumes are welcome and encouraged. Just make sure you can dance in them. Drummers are always appreciated.

Banking the Coals - Fire Ritual – As we close the year, we bring the sacred Fire to rest and with it, our selves. Gather around the fire one more time. Say goodbye to those who have left this plane of existence. Say goodbye to the dying year behind you. Say goodbye to summer. And then Hail! to the next great adventure.
